Biography
Dr Debra Graves is Chairman of the Queensland Public Health and Scientific Services Advisory Board. She is also a Board Member of Mindgardens, the first translational research centre in Australia to focus exclusively on disorders that involve the brain, emotions, nervous system and thinking processes.
She was previously the Chief Executive Officer of The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, a position she held for over 25 years. She holds Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Queensland and a Master in Health Administration from the University of New South Wales. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Medical Administrators; a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. She is also an Examiner for The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
Debra has had experience as a CEO and Medical Director in both public and private hospitals. She was also previously the Chairman of Pathology Awareness Australia, and Director of the non-profit online consumer resource Pathology Tests Explained.
